Processing
State-of-the-art rice processing
Our processing facility handles cleaning, grading, sorting, polishing, and packaging under strict quality controls. Every batch undergoes laboratory testing for aroma, grain length, texture, moisture content, mycotoxin levels, and DNA purity. The facility operates under FSSC 22000 certification.
Parboiling and drying
Gentle processing that protects the grain
Our parboiling line uses low-pressure steaming instead of the high pressure common in the industry. Gentler, uniform steaming gelatinizes every grain consistently, improving colour and cooking quality. We then dry the paddy in three gentle stages, finishing at a low 45 degrees Celsius where most mills run far hotter. The result is smoother colour, higher milling yield, and stronger grains.

Procurement
Our own government-approved Mandi Yard
Fortune Rice is the only company in the Indian rice sector operating its own Mandi Yard, located close to our partner farmers' fields. This gives us direct control over procurement quality and pricing. We pay farmers within 72 hours of purchase. We provide agricultural inputs including seeds, pesticides, bio-chemicals, and micro-nutrients. This integrated approach ensures EU-compliant produce from the first step.
